Knock Knock...

Hello.

Remember Me?

I'm "After the Holidays."

I'm the guy you promised all of those things to...should I refresh your memory?

After the holidays, I'll organize and give away the kids' clothes that don't fit.

After the holidays, I'll sort their toys.

After the holidays, I'm going to organize my closet like a pro.

After the holidays, I'll start putting some money away in savings.

After the holidays, I'm going to eat right.

After the holidays, I'm going to get to bed earlier.

After the holidays, I'm going to get on an exercise routine.

After the holidays, I'm going to start cleaning this house on a regular basis.

After the holidays, I'm going to watch less TV.

After the holidays, I'm going to unplug from social media more often.

After the holidays, I'm going to read more.

After the holidays, I'm going to calm down and regroup.

After the holidays, I'm going to cut back on shopping and spending.

Every time I think of all of the things that are knocking on my door after the holidays, I think of this scene from the Shining.

Knock Knock.

Who's There?

You Know.

You know who?

Exactly,  You know who this is now open the door, it's after the holidays and I'm going to kick your ass.

Lovely.  I am pretty sure I deserve it.

Are we READY?  Let's do this.

Cheers and love - and here's a duster, some garbage bags and Windex...be careful not to shoot your eye out.

  2. My only New Years res was to buy a treadmill so that I could burn off carbs/ cals while I was drinking beers. Eh, the shops here weren't open. What in the world can one do? ;)

  3. And that is why I never make any resolutions or promises. It's only a recipe for disappointment even thoug we work our butts off at a daily basis. I'll get it done when it gets done.

  7. I don't have this problem any more because I'm older than dirt & all my kids & grandkids are grown & gone & it's just me & my husband here & we have a cleaning woman once a week & I don't do s**t!!

  9. SO one of the things I have to do 'after the holidays' is catch up on all my girls bloggies...so here I am. I read your new years post about your Yia Yia, and I'm all happy and like "hells yeah, every day is a new day, I can do better, I got me a good attitude! Rock on!" Then I read this and I am under a mound again. LOL! It seriously cracks me up and makes me feel better that I am not alone! It is just funny to read them back to back. I WILL get it all done!! :) Love you! Devan
